Fine String Instruments In The Italian Tradition

Violin 2019 after Domenico Montagnana

Domenico Montagnana alongside Carlo Bergonzi are the unsung heroes of classical violinmaking as both have created instrument to rival Stradivari and Guarneri in tone and beauty. Personally I see no difference in tonal potential between the famous cremonese duo and Montagnana or Bergonzi models when I create new instruments; the great reward is a refreshing new set of tonal textures and colors.  This violin after Montagnana, of remarkable visual beauty thanks to its dramatic flamed slab-cut maple back and rich ruby-red varnish, has a velvety, rich and warm sound that seduces right away. the instrument is now available for sale, probably not for long, so please inquire.
